Notes

'Chevalier' clematis (Clematis 'Chevalier') is a vine for borders, containers, and low maintenance gardens. It is hardy to USDA zone 4, or down to -30°F (-34°C). This plant likes full or part sun and average to moist soil of most types. It sits low on the menu for deer and rabbits. Butterflies, hummingbirds, and bees visit the violet-blue blooms, which age to deep blue.

Pairs well with Iceberg rose, Iris, and Alpine aster.
