Notes

'Cheyenne Sky' switchgrass (Panicum virgatum 'Cheyenne Sky') is a grass for borders, accents, winter interest, and rain gardens. It is hardy to USDA zone 5, or down to -20°F (-29°C). This plant likes full or part sun and dry to wet, sandy or clay soil. It grows in a clump and bears burgundy-red blooms, then shows fall color. Deer usually look elsewhere for a meal. Butterflies and birds visit it.

Pairs well with Blue wild indigo, Cardinal flower, and Oakleaf hydrangea.
