Notes
'Niagara Falls' switchgrass (Panicum virgatum 'Niagara Falls') is a grass for borders, accents, and winter interest. It is hardy to USDA zone 4, or down to -30°F (-34°C). This plant likes full or part sun and dry to wet, sandy or clay soil. It forms a clumping mound about 42 to 48 inches tall that draws butterflies and birds. It sits low on the menu for deer. Pale beige to creamy white blooms appear in summer.
Pairs well with Big bluestem, Blue wild indigo, and Great blue lobelia.
