Notes

Chinese mustard (Brassica juncea) is an annual for meadow plantings. It ranks among the more cold-hardy annuals, and with some winter protection it keeps growing through light freezes. This plant likes full or part sun and average to moist soil. It grows 12 to 18 inches tall and wide with an erect habit. Growth is rapid, and the green and purple or lavender leaves are topped by yellow flowers in summer and again in autumn.

Pairs well with Apricotta cosmos, Red fescue, and Russian Red garlic.

Russia to central Asia.
