Notes

Chinese viburnum (Viburnum propinquum) is a shrub for hedges, foundation plantings, borders, and winter interest. It is hardy to USDA zone 7, or down to 0°F (-18°C). This plant likes full or part sun and average to moist, sandy, loamy, or clay soil. Its dense, evergreen habit keeps the garden green all year. Greenish-white flowers open in early to late spring, and birds visit the shrub.

Pairs well with Azalea, Wax myrtle, and Spurge.
