Notes
'Chore' peony (Paeonia 'Chore') is a shrub for borders, cottage gardens, and specimen planting. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and loamy soil. The small, single, lavender flowers look something like a moutan anemone, and bees and butterflies visit the fragrant blooms. Deer and rabbits tend to browse other plants first. William H. Gratwick III bred it.
Pairs well with Maltese cross, Queen of Night tulip, and Standing Ovation little bluestem.
