Notes

'Christine Aines' peony (Paeonia lactiflora 'Christine Aines') is a perennial for borders, cut flowers, and perennial beds. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and loamy soil. The large, double flowers are white with golden glow and small red flecks. Stems are not tall, but they are unusually strong. J. Franklin Styer Nurseries introduced it in 1968.

Pairs well with Siberian iris, Wild bergamot, and Queen of Night tulip.
