Notes
'Chu Lian' peony (Paeonia lactiflora 'Chu Lian') is a perennial for borders, perennial beds, and cut flowers. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and loamy soil. Its fragrant white double flowers open in late spring and show a light blush-pink tint. The upright stems reach about 39 inches, so give them support to keep the blooms off the ground.
Pairs well with Wild geranium, Blue sage, and Sensitive fern.
