Notes

'Clara E. Bacon' peony (Paeonia 'Clara E. Bacon') is a perennial for borders, cut flowers, cottage gardens, and specimen planting. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and loamy soil. Its fragrant cream flowers have pink flecks and yellow centers, and bees and butterflies visit them. It sits low on the menu for deer and rabbits. Harald Fawkner bred it, and the blooms open late for a hybrid.

Pairs well with Minuteman hosta, Prairie dropseed, and Black Hero tulip.
