Notes

Cliff stonecrop (Hylotelephium cauticola) is a succulent for rock gardens, containers, borders, and ground cover. It is hardy to USDA zone 4, or down to -30°F (-34°C). This plant likes full or part sun and dry to average, sandy, loamy, or chalky soil. It creeps slowly into a low mat of evergreen, blue-gray leaves, and pink to purple flowers attract butterflies and bees. It is not a favorite of deer, though hungry deer will eat almost anything. Its drought tolerance makes it an easy choice for dry spots.

Pairs well with Blue fescue, Lamb’s ear, and Pink Impression tulip.
