Notes

'Clinton' peony (Paeonia 'Clinton') is a perennial for borders, cut flowers, cottage gardens, and specimen plantings. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and loamy soil. It forms a sturdy bush with rich red single blooms that attract bees and butterflies. Deer and rabbits tend to browse other plants first. William Henry Krekler bred it.

Pairs well with White Swan coneflower, Smooth hydrangea, and Switchgrass.
