Notes

'Cloth of Gold' peony (Paeonia 'Cloth of Gold') is a perennial for borders, cut flowers, perennial beds, and specimen planting. It is hardy to USDA zone 4, or down to -30°F (-34°C). This plant likes full or part sun and average to moist, loamy soil. Yellow flowers open in early to late spring and attract butterflies. Deer and rabbits tend to browse other plants first. Derek Irvine introduced it in 2001.

Pairs well with Garden phlox, Jacob’s ladder, Damask rose, and Nelly Moser clematis.
