Notes
'Co-Pilot' peony (Paeonia 'Co-Pilot') is a perennial for borders, cut flowers, and cottage gardens. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and loamy soil. Bright red Japanese-form flowers have yellow centers edged in gold and open early on tall, airy stems. Deer and rabbits tend to browse other plants first.
Pairs well with White Swan coneflower, August Moon hosta, Switchgrass, and Queen of Night tulip.
