Notes

'Coeur Ensoleillé' peony (Paeonia lactiflora 'Coeur Ensoleillé') is a perennial for borders, cut flower gardens, and perennial beds. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and loamy soil. Each stem carries about 3 carmine-pink flowers that are 5 inches (12 cm) wide, with a bright greenish yellow glow at the center. Plants stand 42 inches tall but need no support. Gabriel Maltais bred it.

Pairs well with Balloon flower, Rose, Cinnamon fern, and Carnaval De Nice tulip.
