Notes
'Comte de Cussy' peony (Paeonia lactiflora 'Comte de Cussy') is a perennial for borders, cut flowers, and perennial beds. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and loamy soil. The fragrant blooms have light purple outer petals and blush white centers. Jacques Calot bred it, and it makes a lovely cut flower for a vase.
Pairs well with Sweet William, Smooth hydrangea, and Sensitive fern.
