Notes

'Constance Spry' peony (Paeonia 'Constance Spry') is a perennial for borders, cut flowers, cottage gardens, and specimen planting. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and loamy soil. The fragrant red blooms age to rose-pink and have many rows of petals. Deer and rabbits rarely make it their first choice. Saunders bred it in 1941.

Pairs well with Big Daddy hosta, Standing Ovation little bluestem, and Carnaval De Nice tulip.
