Notes

'Cotton Ball' meadow rue (Thalictrum 'Cotton Ball') is a perennial for borders, cottage gardens, and cut flowers. It is hardy to USDA zone 5, or down to -20°F (-29°C). This plant likes full or part sun and average moisture. White, cotton-like blooms open atop slender, dark stems from early to late summer and attract bees. Rabbits rarely make it their first choice. The lacy green foliage forms a narrow mound that fits tight spaces.

Pairs well with Peony, Karl Foerster feather reed grass, and Autumn fern.
