Notes

Rue anemone (Thalictrum thalictroides) is a perennial for woodland gardens, wildflower gardens, and shade gardens. It is hardy to USDA zone 4, or down to -30°F (-34°C). This plant likes part sun to full shade and average to moist, sandy, loamy, or chalky soil. It grows 6 to 9 inches tall and bears white or pale pink flowers in spring. The lacy, dark-green leaves look like those of the meadow-rues. Its reddish-brown stems rise above the leaves.

Pairs well with Red trillium, Krossa Regal hosta, and Autumn Brilliance juneberry.
