Notes
'Splendide' meadow rue (Thalictrum 'Splendide') is a perennial for borders and low maintenance gardens. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun and average to moist, sandy, loamy, or chalky soil. It blooms from early to late summer. Deer and rabbits tend to pass it by. Plants grow 47 to 71 inches tall and stay 12 to 24 inches wide, so they fit in narrow spots.
Pairs well with White mugwort, Drumstick onion, and The President clematis.
