Notes

'Elin' meadow rue (Thalictrum 'Elin') is a perennial for back of the border plantings and pollinator gardens. It is hardy to USDA zone 4, or down to -30°F (-34°C). This plant likes full or part sun. Clouds of tiny pink flowers with lemon yellow stamens open from round, balloon-like buds in early to late summer. Rabbits tend to pass it by. The burgundy stems tower over the border, so place it behind shorter plants.

Pairs well with Wormwood, Queen of Night tulip, and Kentucky bluegrass.
