Notes
'Country Dance' peony (Paeonia lactiflora 'Country Dance') is a perennial for borders, cut flowers, and perennial beds. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and loamy soil. The single flowers open blush white and age to white around green carpels. They bloom early, and the tall, stiff stems hold them upright. Edward Auten, Jr bred it.
Pairs well with Incrediball hydrangea, Black Parrot tulip, and Royal fern.
