Crispum wood sage

Garden uses

Notes

'Crispum' wood sage (Teucrium scorodonia 'Crispum') is a perennial for ground cover. It is hardy to USDA zone 6, or down to -10°F (-23°C). This plant likes full or part sun and dry soil. The semi-evergreen leaves have crinkled and rippled edges, and the frilly foliage is the main attraction. Small greenish to white or cream flowers appear in summer. Once established, it tolerates drought, even in dry shade.

Pairs well with Elfin mother of thyme, Autumn moor grass, and Millenium ornamental onion.
