Notes

Iranian germander (Teucrium hircanicum) is a perennial for borders and containers, and it needs little care. It is hardy to USDA zone 6, or down to -10°F (-23°C). This plant likes full or part sun and dry to moist soil of most types. Fragrant flowers open in early to late summer and again in early to late autumn, and butterflies visit them. Deer rarely make it their first choice. The plant grows 24 to 36 inches tall.

Pairs well with Silver feather grass, Red-hot poker, and Montbretia.
