Notes

'Currant Red' peony (Paeonia lactiflora 'Currant Red') is a perennial for borders, perennial beds, and cut flowers. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and loamy soil. The flowers have a Japanese form with lively cerise-red petals. Yellow stamens sit in the center and are marked with the same red color.
