Notes

Cusick's camass (Camassia cusickii) is a bulb for borders, cottage gardens, meadows, and naturalized areas. It is hardy to USDA zone 5, or down to -20°F (-29°C). This plant likes full sun to full shade and dry to moist soil of most types. Deer and rabbits tend to browse other plants first. Star-shaped, pale icy blue flowers rise on stems two to three feet tall. It is more drought tolerant than some other camass.

Pairs well with Little bluestem, Black-eyed Susan, and Lanceleaf coreopsis.
