Notes
'Blue Heaven' suksdorf's large camas (Camassia leichtlinii 'Blue Heaven') is a bulb for borders, meadows, naturalized plantings, and pollinator gardens. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun and dry to moist, sandy, loamy, or chalky soil. Its blue flowers attract bees on erect stems that reach 24 to 36 inches tall. It is not a favorite of deer or rabbits, though hungry ones will eat almost anything. Henk Overdevest bred it.
Pairs well with Purple Sensation ornamental onion, Marsh spurge, The Chatelaine lupine, and Sedge.
