Notes

'Czech Poppy' peony (Paeonia 'Czech Poppy') is a perennial for borders, cut flowers, cottage gardens, and specimen planting. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and loamy soil. Deer and rabbits rarely make it their first choice. The single, purplish-pink flowers face up and grow on upright stems to about 29½ inches. Bees and butterflies visit the fragrant blooms.

Pairs well with Dense blazing star, Standing Ovation little bluestem, and Patriot hosta.
