Notes
'Danielle' peony (Paeonia 'Danielle') is a perennial for borders, cut flowers, cottage gardens, and perennial beds. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and loamy soil. The fragrant yellow blooms have light pink flares and open early in spring, and butterflies and bees visit them. Stems reach 24 to 30 inches and hold the flowers well. Deer and rabbits tend to pass it by.
Pairs well with Standing Ovation little bluestem, Carnaval De Nice tulip, and Patriot hosta.
