Notes
'Dao Zhi Qi' tree peony (Paeonia suffruticosa 'Dao Zhi Qi') is a shrub for borders, perennial beds, and cut flowers. It is hardy to USDA zone 4, or down to -30°F (-34°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and loamy soil. The fragrant single flowers open in mid spring and show striated pink and red petals with purple flares. New leaves emerge magenta, and the upright plant reaches about 26.7 inches at maturity.
Pairs well with Krossa Regal hosta, Columbine, and Prairie dropseed.
