Notes
'Dataohung' camellia (Camellia reticulata 'Dataohung') is a shrub for borders, specimen planting, and hedges. It is hardy to USDA zone 8, or down to 10°F (-12°C). This plant likes part sun or part shade and average moisture. Its crimson rose flowers are fragrant and open in early to late autumn and again in early to late winter. Deer usually look elsewhere for a meal. The evergreen leaves keep the arching shrub handsome all year.
Pairs well with Oregon grape, Sedge, and Begonia.
