Notes

'Deanna' peony (Paeonia lactiflora 'Deanna') is a perennial for borders, cut flowers, and perennial beds. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and loamy soil. The light pink guard petals blush on opening and fade to white with age. It blooms late for a Japanese type, after the other Japanese types are gone, so it lengthens the season by several days. Arthur L. Murawska bred it.

Pairs well with Purrsian Blue nepeta, Hairy aster, and Incrediball Storm Proof smooth hydrangea.
