Notes
'Dearborn' peony (Paeonia lactiflora 'Dearborn') is a perennial for borders, cut flowers, and perennial beds. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and loamy soil. The medium dark red flowers are semi-rose doubles with well hidden stamens. They open late mid-season, and the color holds well in hot sun. Edward Auten, Jr. bred it.
Pairs well with Wide Brim hosta, Blonde Ambition blue grama, and Pincushion flower.
