Notes

'Deep Pink' rhododendron (Rhododendron mucronulatum 'Deep Pink') is a shrub for borders, specimen planting, winter interest, and woodland gardens. It is hardy to USDA zone 5, or down to -20°F (-29°C). This plant likes full sun to full shade and average to moist, sandy or loamy soil. It grows slowly into a multi-stemmed shrub that reaches 4 to 8 feet tall and wide. Fragrant pink flowers attract bees. Rabbits tend to nibble other plants first.

Pairs well with Witch hazel, Paper birch, and Switchgrass.
