Notes

'Delphi' peony (Paeonia 'Delphi') is a perennial for borders, cut flowers, and cottage gardens. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and loamy soil. The large, full double flowers are bright dark crimson and fragrant, and bees and butterflies visit them. Deer and rabbits usually look elsewhere for a meal. Arthur Percy Saunders bred it.

Pairs well with Praying Hands hosta, Nodding onion, and Little bluestem.
