Notes

'Detroiter' rose (Rosa 'Detroiter') is a shrub for borders, cut flowers, and cottage gardens. It is hardy to USDA zone 6, or down to -10°F (-23°C). This plant likes full sun and loamy or clay soil. The bushy, upright plant bears fragrant carmine-red blooms in late spring, summer, and early autumn. Bees visit the flowers. Reimer Kordes bred it in 1952.

Pairs well with Clary sage, Jackmanii clematis, Casa Blanca lily, and Butterfly bush.
