Notes

'Dian Chun Zi' peony (Paeonia lactiflora 'Dian Chun Zi') is a perennial for borders, cut flowers, and perennial beds. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and loamy soil. It grows upright to about 33 inches and stays free-standing. The dark pink semi-double flowers are fragrant and open in midseason. Its early foliage is purplish-red and turns light green.

Pairs well with Great blue lobelia, Prairie dropseed, and Woolly yarrow.
