Notes

'Doone Valley' lemon thyme (Thymus citriodorus 'Doone Valley') is an herb for ground cover, containers, and food gardens. It is hardy to USDA zone 6, or down to -10°F (-23°C). This plant likes full sun and dry, sandy, loamy, or chalky soil. The evergreen leaves are fragrant and the plant tolerates drought. Bees and butterflies visit it. It is not a favorite of deer or rabbits, though hungry ones will eat almost anything.

Pairs well with Munstead lavender, Purpurascens sage, and Lavender cotton.
