Notes

'Double Impact' peony (Paeonia 'Double Impact') is a shrub for borders, cut flowers, cottage gardens, and specimen planting. It is hardy to USDA zone 4, or down to -30°F (-34°C). This plant likes full or part sun and average to moist, loamy soil. The large flowers are cream with rose-pink shading and small dark wine flares, and each stem carries three buds. It is not a favorite of deer or rabbits, though hungry ones will eat almost anything. Strong stems hold the blooms up well in the garden and in a vase.

Pairs well with Weigela, Nelly Moser clematis, and Lily of the valley.
