Notes

'Double Mixed Columbine' columbine (Aquilegia vulgaris 'Double Mixed Columbine') is a perennial for borders, cut flowers, and cottage gardens. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun and average to moist soil of most types. Butterflies, hummingbirds, bees, and birds visit the blooms. Deer and rabbits usually look elsewhere for a meal. It blooms in early to late spring and again in early to late summer.

Pairs well with Hardy geranium, Meadow rue, Roma greater masterwort, and Catmint.
