Notes

'Dreaming' peony (Paeonia 'Dreaming') is a shrub for borders, cut flowers, cottage gardens, and specimen planting. It is hardy to USDA zone 4, or down to -30°F (-34°C). This plant likes full or part sun and average to moist, loamy soil. The fragrant double blooms are cream or light yellow with pink and peach shading and dark purple flares. Each stem carries three buds and has good strength, so the flowers cut well. It sits low on the menu for deer and rabbits.

Pairs well with September Charm anemone, Bells of Ireland, and Nelly Moser clematis.
