Notes

'Duchess of Edinburgh' clematis (Clematis 'Duchess of Edinburgh') is a vine for containers, cottage gardens, specimen plantings, and privacy screens. It is hardy to USDA zone 4, or down to -30°F (-34°C). This plant likes full or part sun and average to moist soil of most types. The white blooms are 4-6 inches (10-15 cm) wide, and this compact climber adds height to a fence or trellis without taking over. Deer and rabbits tend to pass it by. George Jackman & Son bred it.

Pairs well with Iceberg rose, Iris, and Alpine aster.
