Notes

'Early Show' peony (Paeonia 'Early Show') is a perennial for borders, cut flowers, and cottage gardens. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and loamy soil. It has fragrant pink blooms that bees and butterflies visit. It is not a favorite of deer or rabbits, though hungry ones will eat almost anything. William Henry Krekler bred it in 1978.

Pairs well with Golden Tiara hosta, Moonshine yarrow, and Switchgrass.
