Notes

'Early Splendor' amaranth (Amaranthus tricolor 'Early Splendor') is an annual for borders and low maintenance beds. It is not cold-hardy and will not survive freezing temperatures. This plant likes full or part sun and average to moist soil of most types. It grows at a moderate pace and reaches 24 to 59 inches tall. It is drought tolerant, so it copes well when rain is scarce.

Pairs well with Coleosaurus coleus, Spider flower, Blue Fortune Bill Williams Mountain giant hyssop, and Throatwort.
