Notes

'Eastern Star' peony (Paeonia lactiflora 'Eastern Star') is a perennial for borders, cut flowers, and perennial beds. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and loamy soil. Its pure white bomb flowers have lemon-yellow undertones and open in early to mid summer. Bright green foliage sits on stems 30 to 36 inches tall. Myron D. Bigger bred it in 1975.

Pairs well with Knapweed, Spanish bluebell, and Cinnamon fern.
