Notes

'Edith' Colorado spruce (Picea pungens 'Edith') is a tree for specimen planting, hedges, privacy screens, and winter interest. It is hardy to USDA zone 2, or down to -50°F (-46°C). This plant likes full or part sun and average to moist, sandy, loamy, or clay soil. Its columnar form grows slowly and stays evergreen all year, and birds visit it. Deer and rabbits tend to pass it by. Give it room to reach its full height.

Pairs well with Golden Globe American arborvitae, Abbotswood shrubby cinquefoil, Drumstick primrose, and Red fescue.
