Notes
'Edward Bowles' jerusalem sage (Phlomis fruticosa 'Edward Bowles') is a shrub for borders, dry gardens, and gravel gardens. It is hardy to USDA zone 7, or down to 0°F (-18°C). This plant likes full or part sun and dry soil. Its textured, triangular leaves are bright green above and silvery beneath. Yellow, two-lipped flowers form clusters along the stems from early to late summer. It tolerates heat and drought but not winter wet, so keep it out of soggy spots.
Pairs well with Lime Zinger sedum, Shenandoah switchgrass, Globemaster allium, and Elfin mother of thyme.
