Notes

Phlomis (Phlomis longifolia) is a shrub for hedges. It is hardy to USDA zone 8, or down to 10°F (-12°C). This plant likes full sun and average moisture. It grows 36 to 48 inches tall and spreads 48 to 72 inches, so give it room. Dark yellow flowers open in mid to late summer. The evergreen leaves stay on the plant through winter, and it is drought tolerant.

Pairs well with Mountain mint, Poppy, and Wax myrtle.
