Notes

'Effusa' common juniper (Juniperus communis 'Effusa') is a shrub for low maintenance planting and ground cover. It is hardy to USDA zone 2, or down to -50°F (-46°C). This plant likes full sun and dry to average, sandy, loamy, or clay soil. Deer tend to pass it by. It stays 9 to 18 inches tall and spreads 48 to 72 inches. It is evergreen and drought tolerant, so it suits dry spots.

Pairs well with Rock soapwort, Red fescue, and Sensation cosmos.
