Notes

'Compressa' common juniper (Juniperus communis 'Compressa') is a shrub for borders, containers, and low maintenance gardens. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full sun and dry to moist soil of most types. It grows in a narrow, columnar shape up to 72 inches tall and 18 inches wide. Deer tend to pass it by. Its evergreen foliage adds color all year, and the plant tolerates drought.

Pairs well with Blazing star, Jack pine, and Showy milkweed.
