Notes
'El Nino' tulip (Tulipa 'El Nino') is a bulb for borders, cut flowers, containers, and cottage gardens. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full sun, average moisture, and sandy, loamy, or chalky soil. Yellow flowers open from early to late spring. The stems reach 24 to 36 inches tall, so they work well in cut flower bouquets.
Pairs well with Queen of Night tulip, Renown tulip, Blanket flower, and Claire de Lune peony.
